C.L.L.E. AND SUCCESSFUL LEARNING

C.L.L.E. Communities, lifelong learning and employability have published their annual report 2024/2025. The statistics look good with a 99.3% satisfaction rate overall.
Some of the key successes include; supporting young people to participate in the ‘Duke of Edinburgh' program, a total of 118 young people took part in modern apprenticeships supported by C.L.L.E., 475 parents built new skills and found new opportunities and many more initiatives including community groups and projects were highlighted.
The group service manager for C.L.L.E. Anette Lang, had this to say
“In the last year our focus on practical learning, qualifications, industry partnerships and enhancing employability skills has resonated strongly with our learners and our communities in Midlothian.”
The year ahead looks bright too as the highest standard of learning will continue in Midlothian. The Cabinet Member for Education is delighted to see the positive progress CLLE is making with young people, adult learners and local communities.
What kind of courses are offered? There is a bit of everything from mindfulness to learning about ‘air fryer cooking’!

Initiatives such as this reflect the growing and evolving practices in our society and communities sharing relevant skill sets.
Learning and education keep us interested, curious and as part of the community we can make friends and form connections.
Education can also be an important stepping stone where we may discover hidden talents, gain access to further education or simply have fun.
