A special celebration is taking place in Midlothian with a 60 year celebration of marriage -  ‘Iris and Hugh Robertson’!  Congratulations to them both, as their diamond milestone is marked with a special visit and flowers.  They plan to continue celebrating with their family.

….Here at MM ‘eternal marital bliss’ is the dream but the reality is ‘effort, love and maintaining’.  It is easy to get swept up in fairytale thinking but at the end of the day, we are all human with a vulnerable side and flaws, thank goodness. Acceptance and respect for another may just reinforce our own set of values and personal standards.

We have just witnessed a big engagement via Taylor Swift and all that may bring, hype, fantasy and who knows maybe even a rise in commitment…such is her influence.  ‘In sickness and health’ may not be the easiest part of a union but is a real tester when life pushes us in unexpected directions.
