TV without interest....

Pondering the other day on TV in general, I realise I'm losing interest.... Once upon a time there were certain programs/shows which poured out 'my cup of tea' however lately it all feels a bit blah.

If Strictly is not up your street that rules out prime time viewing for a large part and well, soap operas, if you're not a serial spectator are hard to tune into. Of course we are spoiled for choice on netflix and catch up TV but that involves commitment of sorts - and that first episode grabs you or not.

Day time TV can speak volumes about how we are reflected in society from rip off Britian to a very long lasting set of debates on channel five. Where is the feelgood?

Searching for a feelgood factor especially at this time of year can be important. Personally I've been watching the ocassional Chateau DIY and Garden Rescue to gain some ideas, insights and relishing the transformations achieved. (although I don't live in a castle - there are useful tips and tricks)

Mood matters; whether seeking a light entertainment slot or something to get your teeth into, the remote control may be overworked. The climate of politics presently oozes of corruption, major change and false hope - let's see what the future brings, but what's the stance on humanity?

News bulletins of Ed. Sheeran and outspoken opening bands..... or those adverts, you know the ones..... made to show the truth or guilt trip us - but we are helpless in the face of such causes, we feel our fiver or tenner is merely a drop in the ocean of desperation...

But here's the thing, TV is not a neccessity, as I'm learning. Radio debates, pods and the magic solution - music! Maybe it's about the balance and not becoming a toxic hub for information?....

Do we even have a moral obligation to be tuned in to something.... Turning to nature is a pivotal factor in our feelgood component of life. Many of us have no TV and may opt for classical music over Sabrina Carpenter for example.

Being in control is key - choosing your media lesuire spots and slots and not allowing them to choose you... Resistance, intelligent selection and knowing your angle on all things mediatic and oh - humour and lightness, are all part of this information overload at times.

So as blah as it, I'm finding little nuggets of gold ( Ben Fogle - Wilderness, does it for me)...

Happy viewing.....
