The cost of the 'crisis'

The 'cost of living crisis' is still very much around with expectations that it should ease in 2024 when wages can rise and reduce the difference with inflation. It started in 2021 when prices of energy and food soared and during the crisis people found that meeting essential needs within the household was problematic.
Over recent years there has been a lot to contend with for the average family. Austerity, Brexit and the pandemic with many people believing the UK will never be the same.
We are however resilient and actions have been set in motion for recovery. Here in Midlothian essential funding is allowing families to receive the help and support they need. Staff teams have been overwhelmed by increased demands due to the crisis. Over the winter period families will continue to receive all important assistance so that life can return to some kind of normality.
Changing lifestyle habits are important - from using our food more wisely, perhaps freezing and batching to cutting down on treats. Realising the value of our energy sources and food production can raise awareness of our resources and how important they are.
Warm and well hubs are available in Midlothian offering some care and facilities.
So 'the cost of the crisis' may be apparent a few years on but me personally I feel like the Cost of living crisis has somewhat sneaked up on me. At the time you get on with it then it sinks in that yes times are indeed tough.
