Meghan's royalty free bundle!

In the world of Meghan Markle this time last year there was a surprising lack of interest in the upcoming wedding notably from the younger generations. Fast forward one year on - it is nearly impossible to spend time on social media without pop ups or posts relating to her on many levels. There are certainly a few fixations including her dress sense, her eating habits, comparisons with Catherine The Duchess of Cambridge and of course her relationship with her father.

However do we really care and should we really care? Well what we are talking about is Diana's son, heir to the throne, although not top of the list and married to an 'American' lady! There is plenty of scope for a media frenzy and as the Brits know only too well, this can end in disaster. Diana's life ended - the nations sweetheart, abruptly and harshly. Why would Meghan be followed and persecuted in a similar fashion? Have lessons not been learned? Has the notion of 'allowing' or 'permitting' The Royals some peace and quiet time worn off? Or is there a vendetta against Meghan?

Just recently it was claimed by a Hollywood actor that Meghan is suffering in a similar way in which Princess Diana suffered. The truth is that Diana's life in stories and pictures in the press made a bundle of cash and fed into the psyche of the curious minded. There was a sense of manipulation and making something potentially very special into a show of vulgarity and shame. There is one stark difference and contrast though when we observe the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and that is that they ooze warmth and enthusiasm for each other and it would be a pity to see this rare demonstrative love within the Royal Family being diminished or threatened by cruel and harsh judgement.

Meghan brings a sense of normality to this ancient British institution perhaps even more so than William and Kate who are obviously being prepared for the actual future roles of ruling the U.K. Now that should take a bit of pressure off from Meghan but ironically no....As maybe she is a scapegoat of sorts. With her 'normality' comes family feuds, a T.V.series and yes a future bundle: there are only a few months left before her and Prince Harry become parents. This child will be unique as every child is - with a difference though in regards to British Royalty - the child will be of mixed ethnicity, not directly in line to the throne and and partly American. Certainly not the typical 'Royal'. This should give cause for celebration - equality and diversity are being welcomed with open arms! But no, Meghan is being scrutinized and judged.

There will be rumors, harsh comments and articles and speculation for sure. But take a minute to really observe the Lady - she is tactile with her husband, passionate about charity work, feminist causes and classy without doubt! It would be a shame to pick this apart - the future holds interesting paths for the future bundle of joy which will be fascinating to observe however maybe the women should be given some breathing space!
